About German Tech, Inc.

We are a highly specialized business dedicated to high performance and aerodynamc accessories for Porsche cars.

Our founder and president, Joe Vatter, came to the United States from southern Germany in 1973, after completing his training as an automobile mechanic.

He was first employed as a Porsche master technician and later on shop foreman and then service manager for a Porsche, AUDI and BMW dealer in St. Petersburg/FL before starting his own business in 1988.

Joe began to run a test facility for AUDI AG Germany in the Tampa Bay/FL area. Later on he incorporated a full service facility for all German-made cars. After a visit to the TECHART facility in Leonberg/Germany in the early '90s he was very impressed with the TECHART line of products and began to distribute TECHART parts and accessories in the United States. Not only did he import their parts, he also married one of their sales assistants who now works here at German Tech.

Besides selling TECHART parts and accessories and the full service work on German cars we also do all customization in house including complete new cars. Depending on extends of upgrades it usually takes a week or two to finish a car. And if you are not so lucky to live in the sunshine state why not combine a Florida vacation with improvements to your favorite car? We can arrange shipment from your house directly to our facility.

Little did we know when we started with TECHART that we have all kinds of different inquiries about special Porsche parts only available in Europe. Therefore we are trying to help anybody who has interest in such parts.
